PIHER´s first and foremost concern is the quality of our products and services. Every effort goes towards the prevention, reduction and elimination of any quality defects.

The systematic application of the lastest quality control techniques (FMEA, SPC, QFD, etc) assures total control over all the human, administrative and technical factors from design to delivery. This is our concept of TOTAL QUALITY.

As recognition by our customers of our on-going investment in quality, PIHER obtained the Q1 certification in December 1990 which represented the first in a long line of prestigious quality awards. The receipt of the ISO 9001 European Quality Certificate approval in October 1993 and the QS 9000 certification in March 1997 by The BUREAU VERITAS (which also demands compliance to the CHRYSLER, FORD and GENERAL MOTORS strict quality requisites), demonstrates the effectiveness of the PIHER quality system. We have been ISO/TS 16949 - (Second edition) certified in June 2004. This standard specifies the quality system requirements for the design, development, production, and installation/servicing of automotive related products.

Piher proves their responsibility to the environment by earning the coveted ISO 14001 certification in February 2000.

The Environmental Management System is driven by Pachi Gambra, the Human Resources Director, who coordinantes all employee activities in addressing the immediate and long-term impact on the environment of Piher’s facilities and products.
